Purpose and Objective

Purpose

The purpose of Tech Singularity 2026 is to embody HKITJC’s vision and mission by promoting professional development, innovation and collaboration, and by supporting Hong Kong’s development into a leading information technology centre.

To achieve this purpose, the programme has the following objectives:


1. Enhance technical capability and knowledge: Through expert keynote presentations, real-world case sharing and mentoring sessions, participants will gain an in-depth understanding of the latest trends, technologies and best practices in artificial intelligence, cybersecurity and robotics.

2. Foster technological and application innovation: The programme will showcase breakthrough smart economy solutions and create an environment in which technology can flourish. The Smart Economy AI Competition and Proposal Showcase are designed to identify and nurture innovative applications that can advance the smart economy, while raising awareness among tertiary students, the innovation and technology sector and the public about innovation in a smart city context.

3. Promote professional growth: The programme will provide participants with opportunities to develop professional skills, learn from industry leaders, enhance their knowledge and help build a strong international talent pool to support the diversified development of the smart economy sector.

4. Support technology adoption and adaptation: The programme will assist different sectors of society in adapting to and making effective use of new technologies to streamline operations, optimize resource allocation and improve the effectiveness of market applications. It will also strengthen robotics application skills by addressing real-world challenge scenarios.

5. Strengthen cybersecurity resilience: The programme will equip participants with the knowledge and tools required to protect digital assets, implement robust cybersecurity measures, and support the development of secure digital infrastructure.
